Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fiber Optic Construction Supervisor to lead and oversee the installation and maintenance of fiber optic networks. In this role, you will coordinate construction activities, manage teams on-site, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and deliver projects on schedule and within budget. Your leadership will be instrumental in advancing our infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across teams while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Responsibilities Supervise daily construction operations for fiber optic cable installation, ensuring adherence to project plans, schematics, and technical drawings. Manage and coordinate crews, subcontractors, and vendors on construction sites to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Review construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints to interpret technical requirements accurately. Oversee construction schedule coordination using project management software such as Primavera P6 or Primavera to ensure timely project delivery. Enforce federal construction safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company safety policies to maintain a safe work environment. Conduct quality control inspections, manage construction safety management practices, and ensure compliance with all relevant construction regulations. Review contracts, manage budgets, and oversee procurement processes using HeavyBid or similar construction management software. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for testing electrical continuity and ensure proper installation of fiber optic pipelines. Lead team meetings, provide managerial communication, and supervise crew management activities to optimize productivity. Interpret technical drawings and schematics to guide installation processes effectively while managing project scheduling and resource allocation. Requirements Proven experience in heavy civil or commercial construction management with a focus on fiber optic or telecommunications infrastructure projects. Strong background in construction site experience, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings. Familiarity with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera, Management tools like Management or Managing teams in a construction management role. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations (OSHA) and construction safety management practices. Demonstrated supervisory experience supervising teams on active construction sites with excellent crew management skills. Ability to coordinate construction schedules effectively using Primavera P6 or similar tools; experience with construction scheduling is highly preferred. Skilled in managing contracts, budgeting processes, and procurement activities within a construction environment. Strong understanding of quality control procedures and the ability to oversee adherence to industry standards. Excellent managerial communication skills for supervising teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels. Certification in OSHA safety standards; familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and the use of testing equipment such as ohmmeters is desirable.
