This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain firsthand exposure to large-scale construction projects, work alongside experienced project leaders, and develop the skills needed to advance into Project Management. This role is ideal for recent graduates of accredited Construction Management or related programs, as well as individuals seeking to build a rewarding career in the construction industry. Position Overview Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking experienced Construction Project Coordinators to join their client's dynamic team in Itasca, IL. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about construction and eager to support complex projects while building a long-term career in project management. Responsibilities
Coordinate and maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, drawing revisions, and closeout records.
Track material procurement, delivery schedules, vendor commitments, and equipment status to help prevent project delays.
Support Project Managers with schedule updates, reporting, budgeting activities, and project forecasting.
Assist with preparation of client updates, project status reports, and internal progress meetings.
Monitor outstanding action items and ensure timely follow-up with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Coordinate communication between office personnel, field leadership, clients, and subcontractors.
Review construction drawings and project specifications to support project execution and document control efforts.
Assist with project startup activities, permitting requirements, inspections, and turnover documentation.
Participate in site visits to gain project understanding, identify potential issues, and support field operations.
Help manage punch list completion, warranty documentation, O&M manuals, and project closeout packages.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related program
Willingness to learn and grow in the construction and data center industry
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
Ability to work effectively in both office and active construction site environments.
Ability to travel to project sites as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting construction projects in a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or similar role.
Working knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, construction schedules, procurement logs, and project closeout processes.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Additional Details Salary Range:
