Job Description

CDO GROUP
Provides General Contracting services for Multi-Unit Retail Centers, Quick Service Restaurants, Fitness Centers, Etc. Position Overview CDO Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Construction Coordinator to support our rapidly growing construction management operations. This role is critical to the success of our fast-paced QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) construction projects. The Construction Coordinator will work alongside Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure seamless project execution, managing administrative tasks, documentation, schedules, and communications across multiple active projects.
Location:
Oak Park, IL (Headquarters) or Rochester Hills, MI Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage project schedules, timelines, and milestones across multiple concurrent projects
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including contracts, permits, change orders, and correspondence
  • Prepare and distribute project meeting minutes, status reports, and progress updates to stakeholders
  • Track and manage project budgets, invoices, and purchase orders with financial accuracy
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient project execution
  • Assist in scheduling site inspections, walk-throughs, and project meetings
  • Monitor project compliance with safety regulations and company standards
  • Process and file permits, licenses, and regulatory documentation
  • Support the Project Manager with day-to-day administrative and operational needs
  • Manage project databases and maintain accurate record-keeping systems
  • Coordinate travel arrangements as needed for project team. Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required; some college coursework or Associate degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in construction coordination, construction administration, or related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Works extremely well in team setting Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) or restaurant construction projects
  • Knowledge of construction project management software (SmartSheets, BuilderTrend, Procore, or similar)
  • Understanding of construction cost estimation and budgeting
  • Experience with multi-unit restaurant or retail expansion programs Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary: $50,000 - $70,000 annually (based on experience)
