Job Title:
Foreman Job Description This is a 15-week Foreman opportunity supporting the build-out of a commercial fitness center. You will work closely with the Superintendent to oversee daily jobsite operations from mobilization through closeout, ensuring schedules are maintained, subcontractors are coordinated, and all site activities are documented and organized. Responsibilities Assist the Superintendent in overseeing daily jobsite operations from mobilization through project closeout. Support the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules and milestones. Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors as directed to keep work progressing on time and within scope. Assist in coordinating subcontractors and trades, ensuring adherence to schedule, scope of work, and quality expectations. Help track on-site manpower levels and productivity to support project planning and decision-making. Support onboarding of tradespeople and provide day-to-day direction as guided by the Superintendent. Assist with daily reports, including progress tracking and photo documentation of work performed. Maintain organized records of site activities, material deliveries, inspections, and other jobsite documentation. Support tracking of punch list items, deficiencies, and closeout documentation throughout the project. Assist with punch list completion and follow-up to ensure all items are resolved prior to turnover. Help coordinate final inspections with relevant parties and support smooth project turnover. Support collection and organization of subcontractor closeout documents and ensure all required documentation is completed. Essential Skills 1-4 years of experience in commercial construction. Experience in a foreman or assistant superintendent capacity on commercial construction projects. Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors on an active jobsite. Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation. Ability to track schedules, manpower, and productivity and communicate updates effectively. Comfort working closely with a Superintendent and following direction in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills for interacting with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and tradespeople. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in commercial construction build-outs, particularly similar facility projects. Experience assisting with punch lists, inspections, and project closeout processes. Ability to manage and provide direction to large groups of tradespeople on-site. Familiarity with daily reporting practices, including progress tracking and photo documentation. Why Work Here? The environment is fast-paced and highly collaborative, with a strong focus on safety, schedule adherence, and quality. You should expect typical commercial construction site conditions, including physical activity, exposure to ongoing construction work, and the need to follow appropriate site safety protocols and attire. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Waukegan, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
