Job Summary:
The General Superintendent - Construction is responsible for overall field leadership and execution of construction activities across one or more projects. This role ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards while driving coordination among all trades and site teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide overall site leadership for superintendents, foremen, craft personnel, and subcontractors Oversee planning, scheduling, and coordination of all construction activities Ensure strict adherence to safety programs, policies, and regulatory requirements Monitor project progress, productivity, and manpower to meet milestones and deadlines Collaborate with project management, engineering, and stakeholders to resolve issues Review drawings, specifications, and construction plans for execution accuracy Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and compliance with standards Drive continuous improvement in field operations, efficiency, and cost control Support client relationships and participate in progress and coordination meetings
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (degree in construction management or related field preferred) 12+ years of construction experience, with 5+ years in a senior superintendent role Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Broad knowledge of construction methods, safety standards, and multiple trades Ability to interpret drawings, schedules, and technical documentation
Preferred:
