Position Summary The HSE Specialist supports Fluor's commitment to health, safety, and environmental excellence by implementing HSE programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture on project sites. This role works closely with project management, contractors, and employees to identify risks, prevent incidents, and maintain safe work practices. Key Responsibilities Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and client requirements. Conduct field safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments. Support incident investigations and corrective action tracking. Facilitate safety orientations, training sessions, and toolbox talks. Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and company standards. Participate in Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), risk assessments, and permit-to-work processes. Monitor contractor safety performance and site compliance. Prepare and maintain HSE reports, records, and performance metrics. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related field preferred. 3+ years of HSE experience in industrial, construction, engineering, or EPC environments. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. OSHA 30, CHST, ASP, CSP, or other relevant certifications preferred. Preferred Experience Experience supporting large capital projects, construction sites, or chemical/manufacturing facilities. Familiarity with behavioral safety programs, incident investigations, and environmental compliance. Proven ability to promote a proactive, zero-incident safety culture.
