We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Payable professional to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is a full-time permanent role that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our financial operations and help drive our business forward. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations. This role requires a methodical, detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a proven track record in managing accounts payable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the entire accounts payable function, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation of vendor statements. Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before payment. Manage and maintain vendor relationships, respond to inquiries, and resolve any discrepancies in invoices and payments. Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments. Maintain accurate and complete financial records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, and receipts. Ensure timely monthly financial close for accounts payable information. Prepare analyses of accounts and produce monthly reports. Implement and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines. Assist with financial audits by providing supporting documentation and information related to accounts payable. Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to improve financial processes and overall efficiency.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounts payable role, preferably in the construction industry. Proficient in data entry and management, with a keen attention to detail. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable procedures. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex accounts and financial information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal teams. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently. Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate and detailed financial records. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. A commitment to continuous improvement and the drive to exceed expectations.
