MCCProgram Manager, Clinical Director of The Extra Mile Overview of My Community Cares:
My Community Cares is a community-based service delivery model designed to provide early supports, promote stability, reduce reliance on the formal child welfare system, and promote long-term stability for children and caregivers. Our work is rooted in the principle that every child deserves a safe, stable home and every family deserves the chance to succeed. Prevention and intervention services as well as post-permanency and foster care youth services are provided, including case management, concrete supports, peer mentoring, evidence-based parenting, domestic violence, and service navigation. Services are available to biological families in which children are at risk of foster care entry or in foster care, foster caregivers, and kinship caregivers. Additional population specific services are also provided. Mentoring and service connection services are available to youth in foster care as well as those aging out.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred, with minimum of 2 years of experience in social services required. Candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate the ability/ desire to work, without judgment, with families involved in Louisiana's child welfare system.
Job Description:
The supervisor is responsible for serving as the direct supervisor for a team of 4-6 professional level specialists in their day-to-day implementation of MCC case services. The unit could include specialists providing Prevention/Early Intervention Services, Reunification/Post Permanency Services, Caregiver/Youth Services, Kinship/Service Navigation/Concrete Services or Community Engagement. The supervisor carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with TEM and MCC program organizational policies and applicable laws. The supervisor will work closely with MCC leadership to ensure program, service, and referral alignment, high-quality service provision for vulnerable families including those involved with the Child Welfare system.
Responsibilities :
  • Works closely with Program Manager on unit development, to include (but not limited to): staffing, training curriculum, referral management, service delivery, reporting, etc.
  • Works closely with regional and local DCFS, court, and community staff to ensure that the necessary services are provided to meet the needs of clients referred
  • Provides day to day supervision of unit staff, program/unit training, as well as ongoing development for staff
  • Schedules and participates in weekly client case staffings with specialists and also monthly with the MCC Clinical Director
  • Participates in bi-weekly case review and weekly group supervision process
  • Ensures that unit is staffed and operational, and works with Program Manager and Human Resources on hiring and disciplinary actions
  • Ensures and reviews cases for staff documentation, focusing on completion, accuracy, timeliness and quality
  • Communicates regularly during staffings and supervision with staff to provide continuous performance feedback and any modifications/improvements needed to enhance development and documents in the annual evaluation process
  • Works with Program Manager to implement and ensure feedback loop from client satisfaction surveys occurs
  • Prepares unit monthly report and submits to Program Manager within designated timelines
  • Provides assistance/coverage for other MCC units when needed
  • Provides assistance and coverage for the MCC Program Manager when needed in participation in meetings with DCFS or any community partners to share relevant data and progress of MCC program objectives/deliverables
  • Other duties as assigned

From $50,000.00 per year
