Position Summary The Project Superintendent is responsible for the overall field operations, coordination, scheduling, quality, safety, and successful completion of assigned construction projects. This position provides day-to-day leadership on the jobsite and works closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and client representatives to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and company standards. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee daily construction activities and field operations. Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules and short-term look-ahead schedules. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, material deliveries, inspections, and site logistics. Ensure work is performed according to approved plans, specifications, codes, and quality standards. Review drawings and specifications and identify potential conflicts or constructability issues. Conduct daily jobsite meetings and coordinate work among subcontractors and trades. Monitor project progress and communicate schedule impacts, delays, and field issues to the Project Manager. Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower records, progress documentation, and project records. Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements and promote a strong safety culture on the jobsite. Conduct regular quality-control inspections and ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly. Coordinate inspections with owners, architects, engineers, municipalities, and other authorities having jurisdiction. Assist with project logistics, site access, temporary facilities, equipment, and material management. Monitor subcontractor performance and hold trade partners accountable for schedule, quality, safety, and workmanship. Participate in project planning, scheduling, and coordination meetings. Review and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite. Support project closeout, punch-list completion, inspections, commissioning, and turnover. Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project team members. Perform other duties as assigned by project and company leadership. Qualifications Construction field experience, with progressive responsibility in a superintendent or similar leadership role. Strong knowledge of commercial, industrial, institutional, or relevant construction practices. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and contracts. Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and construction safety practices. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and jobsite logistics. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain project momentum in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software is preferred. OSHA certification and relevant trade or construction certifications are a plus. Ability to occasionally work extended hours, weekends, or holidays when project requirements dictate. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
