Job Description

Your Opportunity Your role will be to provide senior coordination of construction activities and contract administration in a fast-paced professional, design and delivery environment. Your Key Responsibilities Providing construction management leadership on large civil works projects, verifying that schedules, standards and protocols are followed. Performing constructability design review, specifications and plans. Communication skills and the ability to work with the client, other stakeholder agencies, permitting agencies and the contractor. Answer RFIs, review contractor submittals and invoicing, write field orders and negotiate changes orders. Prepare independent cost reasonableness estimates. Schedule inspectors based on project requirements from contractor's schedules. Perform field observations. Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule. Thorough knowledge of construction management, practices and methods, costs, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques. Must be able to work in a team environment. MS Office Suite skills are required. Primavera skills are desirable. Prior to employment, this position will require the successful passing of a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Valid driver's license is required. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Construction or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. 15+ years of construction management experience is required Position will work in office and field setting. Visits construction sites and works in outside weather conditions. Pay Transparency:
In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary:
Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law). Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law. The benefits information listed above may not apply to union positions because benefits for such positions are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreements
