Job Description

Summary:
Responsible for managing a substantial book of business requiring simultaneous coordination and constant oversight of multiple large-scale landscape design projects. The successful Project Manager is an individual with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, sound knowledge of the construction industry and ability to anticipate and adapt to evolving challenges in real time.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, track, update, and efficiently adjust sequencing to meet milestones for proper financial and timeline management. Manage logistics for materials, equipment, labor. Supervise crews, subcontractors, vendors, material deliveries and storage for safe site conditions and compatibility with other trade partners on project site. Coordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure Schumacher standards are met. Adjust project constraints with budgetary objectives in mind. Work in conjunction with Landscape Architects to coordinate hardscape/softscape installation to implement design plan. Manage account contracts and financials, including budgeting, with the goal of performing the highest quality work while maintaining profitability. Obtain and complete timely documentation required for project start up/closeout securing executed contracts, processing monthly progress billing, job cost reporting, facilitating and securing change orders. Apply problem-solving skills to ensure timely and effective results. Oversee subcontractors' performance, including schedules and performance ratings. Ensure compliance with local regulations. Serve as primary liaison between client and subcontractors providing clear, timely and frequent communication. Participate in weekly construction meetings and project handoff meetings with estimating team. Set up, update and maintain shared project folders, including as-builts, site photos, and master log tracking status.
Qualifications:
Experience working in the construction industry in a project management or similar leadership role. Ability to read and interpret landscape plans, including blueprints, grading plans, construction drawings, specifications, code and regulations. Strong work ethic and positive team attitude. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in cloud computing tools.
Self-motivation:
ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision. Maintain a valid driver's license and DOT medical card. Demonstrate sound computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Bluebeam, Sage and scheduling software. Stand, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, walk, see, speak, hear and use hands and fingers. Ability to access and drive company vehicles several hours daily. Bilingual (English and Spanish or Portuguese) preferred but not required. OSHA-10 and hoisting license preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits:
