  • Multi-Unit Retail to lead the development of new freestanding locations and remodel existing sites.
The portfolio includes repeatable, small-format service facilities requiring close coordination among site-development partners, municipalities, contractors, equipment vendors, and operations teams. This is an opportunity for a construction leader with experience delivering automotive-service, convenience-store, car-wash, quick-service restaurant, fuel-station, drive-through, or similar multi-unit retail projects. The successful candidate will combine portfolio-level oversight with practical field execution. What You'll Be Doing Lead new-build and remodel projects from site due diligence, permitting, and pre-construction through opening and closeout. Manage multiple freestanding retail or service-location projects across several states. Coordinate civil/site work, utilities, building systems, prototype requirements, equipment installation, inspections, and operational turnover. Own project schedules, budgets, forecasts, change orders, risks, and executive-status reporting. Source, negotiate with, and manage general contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, and specialty vendors. Navigate zoning, permitting, municipal approvals, inspections, certificates of occupancy, and other jurisdictional requirements. Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety, quality, progress, contractor performance, and opening readiness. Partner with Development, Real Estate, Operations, and senior leadership to remove obstacles and deliver locations on time. What We're Looking For 10+ years of commercial construction experience, including substantial work with multi-site or multi-unit retail development. Experience delivering repeatable, freestanding locations such as automotive-service centers, convenience stores, car washes, quick-service restaurants, fuel stations, or similar service-based facilities. Proven ownership of ground-up construction and remodel projects from pre-construction through operational turnover. Strong permitting and municipal-approval experience across multiple jurisdictions. Demonstrated success managing concurrent projects, budgets, schedules, contractors, vendors, and change orders. Working knowledge of civil/site development, utilities, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and architectural coordination. Massachusetts-based or willing to relocate, with a valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50%. Preferred Qualifications Experience with automotive-service, quick-lube, car-wash, convenience-store, fuel-station, or drive-through construction. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field. PMP or similar certification and experience with Smartsheet, Procore, Microsoft Project, or comparable project-management software. Why This Opportunity High-visibility ownership of a multi-state new-location and remodel portfolio. Direct impact on store openings, operating readiness, and company growth. Autonomy to improve permitting, contractor management, project controls, and delivery standards. Base salary of $130,000
  • 165,000, commensurate with directly relevant experience.
