Job Description

Senior Project ManagerPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from planning through closeout. The role requires a strong background in project management and commercial construction, with accountability for schedule, budget, quality, safety, subcontractor coordination, and client communication. The Senior Project Manager will drive project delivery, mitigate risk, and ensure successful completion that meets contractual, regulatory, and stakeholder expectations.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end delivery of commercial construction projects, including planning, execution, monitoring and closeout.

Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and cost control measures to meet milestones and financial targets.

Coordinate and supervise on-site construction activities, including subcontractor management and site logistics.

Administer contracts, change orders, claims, and dispute resolution processes in accordance with company and client requirements.

Maintain strict safety management and OSHA compliance across job sites; conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.

Oversee quality control and commissioning activities; manage punch lists and final inspections to ensure delivery meets specifications.

Collaborate with design, engineering and MEP teams to resolve constructability, coordination and technical issues.

Manage procurement and material delivery, including coordination of crane operations and heavy equipment as required.

Implement value engineering and risk management strategies to optimize cost and schedule performance.

Provide regular progress reports and maintain clear communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.

Use construction management software (e.g., Procore) and digital tools for document control, reporting and BIM coordination.

Lead project closeout activities, including as-built documentation, warranties, and final contract reconciliation.
QualificationsRequired:
8+ years of progressive construction project management experience with demonstrated success in commercial construction projects.
Required:
Proven expertise in project management principles, contract administration, subcontractor management, and on-site supervision.
Required:
Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, permitting processes, and safety/OSHA requirements.
Required:
Experience managing schedules, budgets, and cost controls on multimillion-dollar projects.
Required:
Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent experience; PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
Preferred:
Hands-on experience with scheduling and estimating tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, Sage Estimating, and estimating best practices.
Preferred:
Familiarity with BIM workflows and tools (Revit, AutoCAD) and digital collaboration tools (Bluebeam, Procore).
Preferred:
Experience with MEP coordination, structural steel, concrete, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, foundations, excavation, fire protection, and related trades.
Preferred:
Competence in cost control, budgeting, estimating, procurement, change order management, value engineering, commissioning and constructability review.
Preferred:
Experience managing site logistics, crane operations, material procurement, inspections, punch list resolution, and commissioning.
Preferred:
Strong stakeholder/client management, communication, leadership and team development skills.
Preferred:
Experience with claims and dispute resolution, risk management, quality control processes, and regulatory compliance.
Additional:
Valid drivers license; ability to travel frequently to active job sites; OSHA 30, CCM, or equivalent certifications a plus.
