Construction Superintendent
  • Commercial Construction Delmarva Veteran Builders (DVB) is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team.
We're a commercial construction company built around creativity, passion, teamwork, and grit. What You'll Do As a Construction Superintendent, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of our commercial construction projects, including: Coordinate and manage subcontractors and field activities Plan, direct, and implement project schedules Keep projects moving toward schedule and budget goals Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite Implement and enforce safety requirements and OSHA standards Coordinate required construction inspections and testing Maintain compliance with applicable building codes Oversee quality assurance and quality control Work closely with Project Managers and the rest of the project team Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, inspectors, and company leadership Identify problems early and find practical solutions to keep the project moving Deliver a high level of customer service to our clients and subcontractor partners What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate has: Preferred 5-10 years of experience in a construction supervisory role Strong commercial construction experience Ability to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings Strong understanding of construction schedules and budgets Ability to coordinate and manage multiple subcontractors and trades Comfort using technology for day-to-day site management and communication Strong problem-solving skills Ability to adapt when project conditions change A self-starting, resourceful, and accountable approach to getting the job done Strong communication and leadership skills Most importantly, we're looking for someone who takes ownership of their projects, treats people well, and wants to be part of a team.
