Crooker Construction is looking to hire an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. This role will oversee and coordinate the successful completion of earthwork construction projects. The scope and scale of the assigned project and the size of the crew will vary. Completing projects is always done in partnership and collaboration with other contractors onsite, crew availability, the General Superintendent, and Project Managers to develop and maintain project schedules. While completing the project, responsibilities will include but are not limited to: ensuring the safe operation of all people and equipment onsite, working around underground utilities, conducting and participating in project meetings, coordinating project schedules, coordinating with subcontractors, supervising internal crews onsite, reading plans, project layout, calculating and ordering materials, determining project quantities for payment procedures, communicating with other employees, completing required paperwork, and assisting with other project requirements as necessary. Qualified candidates are organized and experienced in leading and training employees to complete projects within established guidelines and timeframes. The ability to plan for resource needs (materials, equipment, crews, etc.) is extremely important. This is a full-time, year-round position. The starting salary for this role is $80,000 per year and will be adjusted to reflect the selected candidate's specific experience and knowledge.
Requirements:
Must have working knowledge of all OSHA standards and requirements. OSHA 10 or 30 certification is preferred. Crooker will provide training for the right candidate. Proven ability to lead crews and manage job sites while maintaining productivity and quality. Strong understanding of construction methods, equipment, scheduling, and project sequencing. Experience coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders. Experience with DOT, municipal, or commercial site projects. Experience with Topcon GPS survey equipment is preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans. Experience with Revu Bluebeam, CAD, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project is strongly preferred. Must be willing to work the necessary schedule which may include long hours, night, and/or weekends. Must have a valid driver's license (CDL A or B is preferred but not required) 5+ years of construction supervisory experience, preferably in heavy civil, earthwork, site development, or utility construction.
