Assistant Manager - Crisis respite Calvary Care Services Inc Minneapolis, MN Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $27 an hour 19 hours ago Qualifications Operations management Assisting with ADLs Administrative experience High school diploma or GED Quality audits Patient personal care assistance Full Job Description Position Summary The Assistant Manager supports the daily operations of assigned residential service sites and assists in supervising Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) providing care to individuals receiving services. This role helps ensure quality person-centered care, staffing coordination, compliance with Minnesota 245D regulations, employee training, and overall site operations. The Assistant Manager works closely with leadership, nursing staff, Human Resources, and direct care employees to maintain a safe, supportive, and compliant environment for both clients and staff. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesStaff Supervision & Team Support Assist in supervising and supporting Direct Support Professionals (CS1 & CS2 staff) Help lead team meetings and communicate operational updates to staff Support onboarding and training of new employees Ensure staff are trained and prepared before working independently with clients Monitor completion of required training assignments and ongoing education requirements Reinforce company policies, procedures, and expectations with employees Provide coaching, guidance, and support to team members as needed Scheduling & Staffing Coordination Assist with maintaining adequate staffing levels at all times Help coordinate staff schedules and coverage for call-offs or emergencies Support management with timecard review and payroll accuracy Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent staffing situations when required Communicate staffing concerns promptly to management Compliance & Administrative Support Assist with ensuring compliance with Minnesota Statutes Chapter 245D and company policies Help verify employee documentation, onboarding requirements, and compliance records Collaborate with Human Resources, nursing staff, and coordinators regarding employee compliance matters Ensure required documents, training materials, and audit packets are organized and accessible Client Care Oversight Provide direct support services to clients when necessary Assist in implementing individualized support plans and behavioral supports Help coordinate medical appointments and ensure documentation is forwarded appropriately Upload and maintain documentation within Therap and related systems Support a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment for all clients Documentation & Quality Assurance Ensure timely and accurate completion of documentation including: Therap T-Logs General Event Reports (GERs) Behavior Intervention Reporting Forms (BIRFs) when applicable Conduct routine documentation audits to ensure compliance and accuracy Assist with Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) audits and related compliance reviews Maintain accurate records within Therap and Workforce systems Site Operations & Safety Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness, safety, and organization of the home/site Monitor the environment to ensure compliance with health and safety standards Help ensure a structured and supportive environment for both clients and employees Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, and behavioral situations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education in Human Services or related field preferred Previous experience working in direct support or residential care services preferred Leadership or supervisory experience preferred Knowledge of Minnesota 245D regulations preferred Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call responsibilities if needed Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to assist clients with mobility and daily living activities as needed Ability to respond to behavioral or emergency situations appropriately May require standing, walking, lifting, and transporting items or supplies during shifts Job Risks This position may involve interaction with individuals who may exhibit challenging behaviors.
