Job Description
Commercial Construction Superintendent Duties:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects from start to finish on projects ranging from $1
- 30 million.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
- Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to ensure compliance
- Perform quantity takeoffs and placing orders for materials to be used on site
- Monitor construction schedule and project progress to ensure work is completed on time and within budget
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with project team members to resolve conflicts and ensure smooth project execution
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders
- Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
- Proficient in reading schematics, blueprints, and construction plans and specifications
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of quality control standards
- Familiarity with the operation of common construction equipment
- Ability to stand for several hours at a time and to walk in varying climate conditions and on uneven ground
- Capacity to physically lift 50 lbs
