A Construction Project Manager supervises construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints. Controls the time, cost and quality of construction projects, from residential, commercial and industrial buildings to roads, bridges and schools. Plans and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors.
Oversee all stages of project life cycle including, but not limited to, design, coordination, scope management, budget and cost control, time management, risk management, contract negotiations, and procurement. Coordinate and supervise the work of all plumbing staff and subcontractors, ensuring that all tasks are performed in accordance with project requirements. Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other construction specialists, providing input on plumbing design and installation. Prepare and present project updates and progress reports to stakeholders and clients. Handle any issues or delays that arise, implementing effective solutions to keep the project on track. Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure that work is progressing as planned and meeting all quality standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Plumbing Project Manager in the construction industry. Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, including heating, cooling, and boiler systems. Proficiency in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) construction and project management. Previous experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry is highly desirable. Strong understanding of construction management and quality control principles. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and control resources to meet project goals. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues and keep projects on track. Proficiency in using project management software and tools. Relevant certifications in project management and/or plumbing would be an added advantage.
