Job Summary:
The Construction Manager I position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on a timely schedule, within budget, and in compliance with design documents and regulatory requirements. This role bridges project leadership, contractor coordination, and client communication, requiring both technical expertise and strong management skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Project Oversight & Coordination o Supervise contractors and subcontractors on multiple active projects or sites. o Review design drawings for constructability and address field conflicts through technical judgment. o Organize, review, and respond to submittals, RFIs, and change order requests.
  • Technical & Quality Control o Ensure compliance construction contract documents and state / federal regulations and minimum design criteria.
o Manage and verify installation of water and sewer piping system, and pump stations. o Oversee testing procedures (air, vacuum, hydrostatic, mandrel, compaction, flow, and pump station drawdowns). o Awareness of erosion control, traffic safety (MUTCD standards), and environmental protection measures.
  • Documentation & Reporting o Accurately track and document job progress using testing and daily forms. o Produce and review complete as-builts with contractors. o Review and negotiate pay requests with contractors.
  • Client & Contractor Communication o Serve as the primary point of contact during construction for contractors and clients.
o Address project concerns and ensure alignment with specifications.
Primary Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in construction management, project supervision, or infrastructure related work.
  • Strong understanding of utility infrastructure, site components, and regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Skilled in interpreting project drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with pump stations, electrical related water systems, sewer and stormwater installation.

Work Conditions:
