A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead its preconstruction and bid coordination efforts. This is a key leadership position with direct visibility to executive leadership and plays a critical role in shaping the company's project pipeline, bid strategy, and successful transition of awarded work to operations. This opportunity is ideal for a highly organized construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing the entire preconstruction process—from opportunity identification through project turnover. Responsibilities Lead and manage all phases of the preconstruction and bidding process for commercial and public-sector projects. Evaluate upcoming bid opportunities and participate in go/no-go decisions alongside executive leadership. Coordinate subcontractor solicitation, qualification, and bid coverage to ensure competitive pricing and complete scope. Prepare, organize, and review bid packages to ensure compliance with project requirements, bonding, insurance, certifications, and contract documentation. Manage addenda, bid clarifications, and submission deadlines while maintaining complete and accurate records. Track bid results, market trends, and competitor activity to support future estimating and business development strategies. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in construction preconstruction, bid coordination, estimating support, project engineering, or a related role. Strong understanding of commercial construction procurement and public bidding processes. Knowledge of prevailing wage requirements, contract documentation, and construction compliance is highly preferred. Experience working with bid management software, estimating platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
