As a vertically integrated company, we manage every phase of development—from land acquisition and pre-construction through project completion. We are seeking an experienced townhome Construction Manager to oversee field operations and ensure our projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced development and construction team. Position Overview The Construction Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day field operations of assigned construction projects. This role serves as the primary on-site leader, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring quality workmanship throughout the construction process. The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive leader with extensive commercial and/or multifamily construction experience who can effectively communicate with project managers, subcontractors, consultants, owners, and inspectors. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners to maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Enforce company safety policies while promoting a strong safety culture on every project.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are achieved on time.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, site logistics, and workforce scheduling.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions and ensure timely resolution of punch list items.
  • Communicate daily project progress, schedule updates, budget concerns, and field issues with the VP of Construction.
  • Identify potential project risks and proactively resolve conflicts to minimize delays and cost impacts.
  • Review and document field changes and change order requests.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, project documentation, and site records.
  • Foster positive relationships with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and project stakeholders. Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Superintendent or lead field supervisor on multifamily, or residential construction projects.
  • Experience with construction scheduling and critical path management.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple subcontractors and prioritize competing project demands.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
