$200,000A top‑tier U.S. general contractor with a best‑in‑class reputation in the data center construction market is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Project Manager to deliver large‑scale, mission‑critical projects across North Carolina. This firm is nationally recognised for executing complex hyperscale and colocation data centers and is considered a preferred builder by some of the industry's most demanding clients.

The RoleThe Senior MEP Project Manager will have full responsibility for managing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing scopes on major data center projects valued in excess of $150M. This is a hands‑on leadership role focused on cost, schedule, risk, and quality management across the full project lifecycle, from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead all MEP project management activities on large‑scale data center buildsManage MEP budgets, cost controls, forecasts, and change managementDevelop and maintain detailed MEP schedules aligned with overall project milestonesProcure, negotiate, and manage major MEP subcontractor and vendor packagesCoordinate closely with Superintendents, Design Teams, Owners, and Commissioning AgentsDrive constructability reviews, system integration, and risk mitigation strategiesOversee testing, commissioning, and final turnover of mission‑critical systemsEnsure compliance with safety standards, contract requirements, and client expectationsRequired Experience & Qualifications5+ years of direct data center construction experience (hyperscale or colocation)10+ years total experience in MEP construction, including Project Manager rolesProven experience managing MEP scopes on projects valued $150M+Strong understanding of mission‑critical electrical and mechanical systemsDemonstrated success managing cost, schedule, and subcontractor performanceExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsBased in or local to Raleigh, NC (or willing to be permanently based there)What's on Offer$200,000 base salaryOpportunity to work with one of the most respected data center builders in the U.S.Long‑term pipeline of high‑profile data center projectsIndustry‑leading clients and technically complex facilitiesStrong culture focused on quality, safety, and repeat businessThis position suits a seasoned Senior MEP Project Manager who wants to take ownership of flagship data center projects while working with an elite contractor and remaining locally based in the Raleigh market.
