Job Description

Construction Project ManagerPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead, coordinate and deliver commercial and/or civil construction projects on time, on budget and to quality and safety standards. The role requires proven construction management experience, strong project management skills, and the ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, budgets and site operations from preconstruction through closeout.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end project delivery including preconstruction, procurement, construction, commissioning and closeout.

Develop, maintain and communicate project schedules; coordinate with subcontractors, vendors and internal teams to meet milestones.

Manage project budgets, cost control, change orders and forecasting; provide regular financial reporting to stakeholders.

Administer contracts and manage subcontractor performance, insurance, lien waivers and compliance.

Oversee quality control, inspections, punch lists and commissioning to ensure work meets drawings, specifications and codes.

Prepare, review and respond to RFIs, submittals, shop drawings and technical coordination documents.

Coordinate permitting, inspections and regulatory compliance with authorities having jurisdiction.

Implement and enforce site safety programs, OSHA compliance, fall protection and safe work practices.

Provide on-site supervision and direction to foremen and craft personnel; resolve field issues and make timely decisions.

Perform site layout, survey coordination and verify stakeout with Total Station/GPS as required.

Manage materials procurement, logistics and vendor relationships to meet schedule and budget requirements.

Use construction software and BIM tools (Procore, Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, PlanGrid, Trimble) for document control, coordination and estimating support.

Conduct site progress meetings, produce meeting minutes, and maintain project documentation and reports.

Develop and maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers and stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure project success.

QualificationsBachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).Minimum 8+ years experience as a Project Manager on construction projects; demonstrated experience managing commercial, civil or industrial builds.

Proven knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, site supervision and field operations.

Strong project management skills and experience with schedule development and control using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.

Experience with cost control, budgeting, estimating and change order management; familiarity with Sage 300, Viewpoint or other construction accounting/ERP systems is a plus.

Familiarity with blueprint reading, quantity takeoff, PlanSwift or other estimating software and construction estimating processes.

Experience managing RFIs, submittals, permitting, inspections and contract administration.

Hands-on experience with site layout, surveying, Total Station/GPS, earthwork, excavation, shoring, and heavy equipment/crane operations is highly desirable.

Knowledge of concrete formwork, rebar placement, framing, steel erection, masonry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, glazing, insulation, welding and rigging preferred.

Proficiency with BIM and CAD tools including Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and Trimble; experience with Procore, Bluebeam and PlanGrid for document control and field coordination.

Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to supervise field teams and subcontractors.

Committed to safety with working knowledge of OSHA regulations, fall protection, scaffolding safety and site safety program implementation.

LEED/sustainability awareness and familiarity with building codes (IBC, NEC) are desirable.

Valid drivers license; ability to travel to sites and work in field conditions; valid certifications (OSHA 10/30, CPCS, NCCER, crane operator, or equivalent) are a plus.
