Job Description
Commercial Interiors Construction Manager | On-site | Merrimack, NH MaxIT Consulting - Max Corporate Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Interiors Construction Manager specializing in commercial metal framing and drywall for a U.S.-based construction organization. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Merrimack, New Hampshire , requiring a hands-on professional who understands both project management and field operations and is comfortable coordinating crews, reviewing plans, performing layout, and managing projects from award through closeout. About the Role The selected professional will manage commercial construction projects involving metal framing, drywall, insulation, acoustical ceilings, and related scopes. The role combines project administration, cost and schedule management, field coordination, technical blueprint interpretation, and direct interaction with crews, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Manage commercial metal framing, drywall, insulation, ACT, and related construction scopes. Review blueprints, specifications, and contract documents for scope, constructability, and compliance. Perform and verify field layout, including elevations, dimensions, wall locations, soffits, ceilings, and openings. Direct foremen and field crews, including manpower planning, scheduling, productivity, and quality control. Conduct regular project site visits and resolve field conditions before they impact project cost or schedule. Coordinate activities with general contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal project teams. Manage RFIs, submittals, material procurement, change orders, schedules, and closeout documentation. Monitor labor, materials, project costs, and overall project profitability. Maintain accurate project documentation using Procore. Ensure work complies with safety requirements, quality standards, and project specifications. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in commercial metal framing and drywall construction . Proven experience managing construction projects and directing field crews. Strong blueprint-reading skills and hands-on field layout experience. Strong knowledge of light-gauge metal framing, drywall assemblies, and acoustical ceilings. Experience with Procore or a comparable construction management platform. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license. Ability to travel to project locations throughout New Hampshire and Massachusetts . Relevant Construction Experience Commercial drywall systems. Light-gauge metal framing. Insulation and acoustical ceiling systems. Field layout and blueprint interpretation. RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and project closeout.
