Senior Project Manager Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction Operations Associate with a strong background in construction to support the successful planning, coordination, and execution of residential and/or commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in purchasing, cost tracking via spreadsheets, and navigating municipal regulations, permits, and inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Manager in day-to-day operations, from pre-construction through project close-out Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to procure materials and services Prepare, track, and update cost spreadsheets and budgets to ensure financial accuracy and project profitability Work closely with town and city officials to secure permits , ensure code compliance , and schedule inspections Maintain updated records of contracts, change orders, and project documents Assist in preparing project schedules, timelines, and progress reports Conduct site visits as needed to monitor project progress and assist with on-site coordination Respond to and resolve issues that may impact project timelines or budgets Support communication between the office, field team, subcontractors, and clients
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in construction project coordination or management Strong knowledge of construction processes, terminology, and project lifecycle Familiarity with purchasing processes and working with suppliers and subcontractors Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to manage cost and budget tracking spreadsheets Working knowledge of local town laws, codes, permitting procedures , and building department requirements Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as required
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management or equivalent experience
