Overtime Status:
Exempt, Salary Reports to: Assistant General Manager, Braen Supply Braen Supply, the premiere landscape, masonry, and hardware building supplier in the greater tri-state area, is currently seeking an Assistant Manager who is able to work at all Supply locations (Haledon, Randolph & Wanaque, NJ). The expectation of the Braen Supply Assistant Manager is to act as a leader within the organization, enforce the practice of standard operating procedures, acquire new business, and provide exceptional customer service. In addition to succeeding in these goals and expectations, the assistant manager must embody the Company's core values of Service, Integrity and Respect.Expectations/Responsibilities :
Oversee the Yard Workers and Delivery Drivers while enforcing all Company standard operating procedures including Vision and Values Assist with all sales/customer service interactions, including but not limited to, in-person, phone, and jobsite visits Procure new business and provide routine updates to General Manager and all site Managers Responsible for development strategies and growth of all assigned accounts Schedule staff based on the demands of the business Manage and approve weekly payroll, assist with allocations, as needed Conduct the shipping/receiving functions with maintaining accurate records of material Dispatching to ensure efficient deliveries and/or pick-ups Attend all safety meetings bi-monthly and ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed Coordinate with Safety Department proper training with forklift and loader Fill in for site Manager, where needed Ability to apply cases, quotes, etc. in Salesforce Set-up and attend trade shows and/or association meetings Responsible upkeep and SOPs for mobile showroom vehicle(s) Direct contact with all company vendors (Cambridge, Techo, etc.) Attend networking social events during/after normal business hours Required Knowledge/Skills/Aptitudes Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Construction, Trucking, and/or Manufacturing industry experience preferred Hardscape industry experience a plus Must possess strong computer skills, including social media skills Possess strong communication and management/leadership skills Must be a team player, able to work cross-functionally with all levels of staff Knowledge of truck routes for efficient deliveriesEducation & Experience:
High School/GED required 1-3 years of industry experience strongly preferred 3-5 years of management experiencePhysical Requirements:
Workplace physical exam is to be expected and passed upon hire Perform all job-related functions in all weather conditions Repetitive stooping, bending, crouching, lifting as required to perform duties Must be able to lift at least 94 lbs. Travel to all current and future locations will be requiredSalary Range:
