Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at an early childhood education site in Newark, New Jersey. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can lead staff, coordinate administrative functions, and help maintain a safe, well-run learning environment for children and families. The role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who is comfortable balancing team supervision, site support, and compliance-related responsibilities in a busy education setting.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct daily site activities to keep preschool operations organized, efficient, and aligned with program expectations.
  • Lead, coach, and support teachers and on-site team members while promoting accountability and collaboration.
  • Track staffing coverage, monitor attendance patterns, and help address scheduling needs to ensure consistent site operations.
  • Review and approve employee time records in ADP Workforce Now with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Help uphold a secure, welcoming, and well-organized environment for children, families, and staff across the site.
  • Support family engagement and enrollment-related efforts by responding to questions and assisting with center communications.
  • Coordinate meetings, conferences, and other site events while keeping leadership informed of operational updates.
  • Maintain current records, reports, postings, and documentation in accordance with licensing standards and program requirements.
  • Monitor supply, equipment, and maintenance needs and escalate operational issues when needed.
  • Provide additional administrative and on-site support to meet evolving center priorities.
