Job Description

We are an established custom home building and remodeling company in Santa Fe, NM, seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent/Project Supervisor to help oversee our residential construction projects from pre-construction through completion. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands residential construction, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can effectively coordinate subcontractors, vendors, schedules, budgets, and clients. The Project Supervisor will spend significant time onsite, ensuring projects are progressing safely, efficiently, and according to plans and company standards. In addition to field supervision, this role will support our construction management systems, including JobTread , helping us improve estimating, job costing, reporting, communication, and overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Onsite Project Supervision Visit and supervise active job sites regularly to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to plans and specifications. Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, trades, vendors, deliveries, and other jobsite activities. Maintain project schedules and ensure subcontractors are completing work according to established timelines. Identify potential scheduling conflicts, material delays, or other issues before they impact the project and communicate them to the appropriate team members. Review completed work for quality, workmanship, and compliance with project specifications. Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrective work with subcontractors. Ensure job sites are organized, clean, safe, and professionally maintained. Monitor materials and equipment on-site and coordinate deliveries as needed. Participate in jobsite meetings and provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and upcoming work. Coordinate inspections and help ensure projects remain aligned with applicable building codes and permitting requirements. Document jobsite progress, changes, issues, and important project information in JobTread. Communicate professionally with clients regarding project progress, scheduling, and jobsite concerns. Work closely with the owner/project management team to keep projects on schedule, on budget, and up to the company's quality standards. JobTread & Construction Operations Build, update, and maintain cost catalogs, proposal templates, and estimate assemblies in JobTread. Maintain accurate project budgets, cost codes, line items, and pricing information. Upload and organize quotes, receipts, invoices, and other project documentation in JobTread. Build custom reports to monitor company KPIs, job profitability, project performance, and lead conversions. Help establish and maintain consistent processes for estimating, purchasing, change orders, invoicing, and job costing. Manage user access, custom roles, and account configurations. Train team members on best practices for using JobTread. Identify opportunities to improve construction workflows, communication, and data accuracy. Qualifications JobTread Administrator Certification strongly preferred. Proven experience in residential construction, preferably in custom home building and/or remodeling. Experience supervising construction projects, subcontractors, and multiple trades. Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgets, estimates, change orders, job costing, and project documentation. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and scopes of work. Strong knowledge of residential construction processes and sequencing. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with homeowners, subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members. Comfortable using construction management and accounting software; experience with JobTread strongly preferred. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and resolve issues proactively. High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. Self-directed, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a growing company. Passion for construction technology and finding better ways to manage projects and business operations. You are equally comfortable walking a jobsite, talking with a subcontractor, reviewing a budget in JobTread, and identifying a process that could be improved.
Pay:
$30.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
