Job Description

HVAC Project Superintendent About the Role We are looking for an experienced HVAC Project Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations across construction and HVAC projects throughout New York City. The Project Superintendent will play a key role in coordinating field personnel, subcontractors, and other trades while ensuring projects stay on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable building and safety codes. This is a hands-on field leadership position that requires strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate has experience managing busy construction sites and field teams and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily field operations and project activities under the direction of the Project Manager. Coordinate with project managers, project executives, owners, subcontractors, employees, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution. Dispatch, assign, and oversee field personnel based on project needs and priorities. Monitor project schedules, milestones, deadlines, and manpower requirements. Help ensure projects remain on schedule and identify potential delays or field issues before they impact the project. Assist the Project Executive and Project Manager with project planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution. Monitor job-site activities to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and project requirements. Coordinate with other trades to identify and resolve field conflicts and maintain workflow. Monitor site productivity, manpower, materials, and overall field progress. Assist with maintaining project documentation and preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports detailing project status and field activities. Communicate project updates, issues, and operational needs to the Project Manager and leadership team. Respond to changing site conditions and help resolve day-to-day construction and HVAC-related challenges. Work overtime when necessary to meet project schedules and deadlines. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience as a Project Superintendent, HVAC Superintendent, Construction Superintendent, or similar field leadership role. Strong understanding of construction site operations and field coordination. Advanced organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple crews, activities, and priorities simultaneously. Proven ability to coordinate field personnel and work effectively with multiple trades. Strong leadership and team-management skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced construction environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability and willingness to work overtime when project demands require it. Valid, clean driver's license required. HVAC/mechanical construction experience strongly preferred. Spanish-speaking skills are a plus. Pay:
$65,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
