We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Supervisor to oversee daily field operations on construction projects throughout New York. Job Summary The Construction Site Supervisor is responsible for managing daily field operations from project startup through closeout. This position requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with the contract documents. The Site Supervisor will lead field operations, maintain project schedules, enforce safety standards, and ensure all work meets quality expectations. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Supervise all daily construction activities on assigned projects. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and field personnel. Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. Review construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, and project documents. Conduct daily site inspections to monitor quality, productivity, and safety. Enforce OSHA regulations, NYC Site Safety requirements, and all applicable building codes. Prepare daily reports documenting manpower, work performed, deliveries, inspections, weather conditions, and project progress. Coordinate inspections with owners, architects, engineers, utility companies, and governing agencies as required. Monitor project schedules and resolve field issues to keep projects on track. Coordinate all trades to maintain workflow and project progress. Lead daily coordination meetings with subcontractors to review work activities, safety, and project schedules. Ensure all work complies with contract documents, project specifications, and applicable codes. Order project materials and equipment while ensuring timely delivery to the jobsite. Review material deliveries for accuracy and quality. Prepare detailed change order proposals, including labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Negotiate pricing and scope with owners, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors. Solicit and review subcontractor quotations. Review subcontractor invoices for accuracy prior to submission for payment. Track project costs and assist with budget control. Coordinate procurement of long-lead materials and equipment. Identify additional work opportunities and potential change orders. Coordinate project punch lists, turnover, and final closeout. Maintain professional communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. Qualifications Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Construction Site Supervisor, Superintendent, or similar leadership role. Strong understanding of construction practices, scheduling, sequencing, quality control, safety requirements, and project coordination. Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications. Experience preparing change orders, negotiating subcontractor pricing, reviewing subcontractor invoices, ordering materials, and coordinating procurement. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and Primavera is preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades simultaneously. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
