Job Description
Operations Manager - Residential Insulation Installation We're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our residential insulation installation services. The ideal candidate will coordinate field operations, ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction on every project, and manage and train installation teams across multiple job sites per day. Responsibilities Team Leadership Recruit, lead, and supervise installation teams, providing training, guidance, and support Schedule and conduct team meetings, safety meetings, and toolbox talks Manage team hours and overtime Daily Operations & Scheduling Oversee daily operations of the installation department Coordinate and schedule installation teams, determining daily start times by location and job duration Review each day's jobs with team leads (photos, workscope, notes, drawings); plan ahead for multi-day jobs Ensure trucks are stocked with needed materials and depart on time Monitor GPS tracking for truck locations, arrival, and departure times Manage materials and minimize waste Quality Assurance & Job Site Oversight Confirm yard signs are placed, before/after photos are taken, and property protection (drop cloths, plastic) is used Conduct mid-day check-ins with foremen to review photos Conduct end-of-day check-ins (photos, checklist, payment, paperwork, inventory sheet submitted to office) Make quality assurance calls to homeowners Randomly inspect job sites Enforce quality control and safety standards; ensure compliance with industry standards Sales & Customer Coordination Review jobs with the sales team and create workscopes with notes based on proposals Track and report items missed on proposals Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to meet client and company expectations Resolve issues directly with residential homeowners as needed Process Improvement Identify and implement process improvements to support company goals Qualifications 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in residential construction or the home insulation industry Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams Excellent project management and resource allocation skills Proficiency in operations management and scheduling Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience speaking with residential homeowners and resolving issues Positive, can-do attitude Valid, clean driver's license and ability to travel to job sites for quality assurance (Long Island)
