2992010233-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Peckham Industries is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations for construction and paving projects across the Northeast. This role oversees crews, subcontractors, and equipment to deliver safe, high-quality work on time and within scope. The Superintendent enforces a strong safety culture, reviews plans and specifications, coordinates schedules, and resolves field issues. You will communicate closely with project managers and inspectors, maintain detailed daily reports, and support training and development of team members in a collaborative, family-oriented environment. Responsibilities Oversee daily construction activities on assigned projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within specifications Coordinate crews, subcontractors, and equipment to maintain productive, efficient job sites Implement and enforce Peckham's safety standards, conducting regular inspections and tailgate meetings Review plans, specifications, and schedules to plan work, resolve field issues, and maintain quality Communicate progress, issues, and resource needs with project managers and inspectors Document daily reports, quantities, and site conditions for project records and billing Support training and development of crew members, promoting teamwork and craftsmanship Required Skills Construction site management Crew supervision Road and civil construction practices Reading plans and specifications Safety compliance (OSHA) Scheduling and resource planning Quality control and inspections Heavy equipment coordination Project documentation and reporting Communication with owners and inspectors
