Competitive Salary Paid - Time - Off About Our Client The client is a construction-focused organization delivering retail projects across Long Island and requires a hands-on Superintendent to take ownership of site operations. They are looking for a dependable construction professional who can represent the company effectively on site and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, trades, vendors, and project stakeholders. Job Description Manage daily site operations from mobilization through completion. Coordinate subcontractors, trades, vendors, deliveries, and site activities. Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and project requirements. Monitor progress against the construction programme and identify potential delays. Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, cleanliness, and site organization. Enforce site safety procedures and ensure compliance with applicable requirements. Conduct regular site walks and coordinate inspections as required. Resolve field issues and coordinate solutions with the project team. Communicate project updates, progress, and issues to management. Maintain accurate daily reports, site records, and documentation. Ensure materials, manpower, and equipment are properly coordinated. Support project closeout, punch-list completion, and handover. The Successful Applicant The successful candidate will have strong commercial construction experience, ideally within retail or similarly fast-paced project environments. They will be a confident field leader who can manage multiple trades, communicate clearly, solve problems quickly, and maintain control of site operations from start to finish. You should have a strong understanding of construction sequencing, drawings, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and site safety. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, accountable, and comfortable working directly with project managers, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders. Experience managing retail fit-outs, renovations, new construction, or occupied-site projects is highly desirable. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites across Long Island are also expected. What's on Offer Competitive salary based on experience.
