Job Description
Our client is a well-established, New York-based home textiles company with a strong portfolio of premium licensed brands sold through major retail channels across the United States. With sourcing operations spanning Asia and a reputation for design excellence, they are a trusted partner to some of the most recognized names in American lifestyle and home. This is a stable, growth-oriented business with a collaborative creative culture at the heart of Manhattan's fashion and textile district. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Design Manager to lead creative direction for a premier American heritage home brand. This is a full ownership role - from seasonal concept through final execution - across bedding, quilts, comforters, throws, decorative pillows, and home décor. The right person brings a strong design eye, deep home textiles knowledge, and the discipline to tell a compelling product story within an iconic brand's heritage aesthetic.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead design and development of seasonal home collections from concept to execution Translate trend, color, and market insights into compelling product assortments Develop product across quilting, embroidery, woven textures, prints, and embellishments Collaborate with sales, sourcing, product development, and overseas teams Create and present seasonal trend direction, CADs, and product concepts Ensure brand consistency while driving fresh, elevated product ideasQualifications:
5-8+ years of experience in home textiles, soft home, or related product design Deep knowledge of bedding, quilts, decorative pillows, embroidery, and textile construction Strong understanding of fabrication, color, trend, print, and product development Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop Experience with Pointcarre or similar textile design software preferred Knowledge of AI tools for design development is a plus Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentWhat's On Offer:
