Job Description
Capitol Aluminum is seeking a results‑driven Sales Manager to lead our sales department and strengthen performance in the commercial and institutional markets. This role requires a hands‑on, accountable leader who can elevate both people and process in a fast‑moving, family‑owned construction environment. The Sales Manager oversees all sales representatives, drives pipeline activity, and works closely with internal teams to ensure projects move efficiently from opportunity through installation. Travel throughout Ohio and surrounding states is required to support the team, meet with customers, and coordinate job‑site activities. The role engages architects, contractors, facility managers, and institutional owners to position Capitol's aluminum window, door, and storefront systems as the preferred solution. What You'll Do Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team to achieve consistent performance and accountability. Build and execute sales strategies for institutional and commercial clients. Conduct consultative project discoveries and understand technical requirements. Strengthen relationships with architects, specifiers, engineers, and contractors to secure product specifications. Support the team in presenting compliant, cost‑effective aluminum system solutions. Oversee full sales cycle, documentation, and reporting. Collaborate with estimating, engineering, production, and installation teams for accurate project execution. Monitor pipeline, forecast revenue, and report performance to leadership and the Board. Ensure adherence to sales processes and documentation standards. Identify market opportunities and support marketing initiatives. Represent Capitol Aluminum at industry events and project meetings. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business or related field. Experience in commercial construction or architectural building products preferred. Strong consultative selling skills and ability to navigate multi‑stakeholder environments. Proven leadership with accountability‑driven management style. Ability to read architectural drawings and technical specifications. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills. Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
