About Our Client Our client is a well-established construction and utility company that has been in business since 1939. They specialize in underground infrastructure and telecommunications/fiber optic construction and are looking for an experienced Office Manager to join their Fairfield, Ohio team. About the Position We are looking for an experienced Office Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day administrative and financial operations of the office. This is a hands-on position for someone who is highly organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a busy construction environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable wearing multiple hats and managing everything from accounting and payroll to employee benefits and general office administration. Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of the office and ensure administrative functions run smoothly. Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoices, payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. Process and manage payroll and assist with payroll-related reporting. Administer employee benefits and assist employees with benefit-related questions and needs. Utilize Sage accounting software for financial and administrative functions. Maintain organized employee, financial, and company records. Coordinate with management, field personnel, vendors, and customers as needed. Assist with general bookkeeping, reporting, and financial administration. Monitor office needs and ensure supplies, documentation, and administrative processes are kept organized. Serve as a reliable point of contact for day-to-day office matters. Support management with various administrative and operational projects. What We're Looking For Previous Office Manager, Office Administrator, Accounting Manager, or similar experience. Experience with Sage software is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Experience managing or administering employee benefits. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Able to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Comfortable working in a construction/utility environment. Professional, dependable, and willing to take ownership of responsibilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable working in a hands-on, blue-collar construction environment. Why Join?
