Job Description
Morrison Custom Welding is hiring an experienced, organized, and relationship-focused Project Manager to join our team in Wooster, OH. This role is responsible for managing custom metal fabrication and construction projects from award through completion. The right person will be comfortable working directly with customers, reviewing drawings and specifications, coordinating with our shop and field teams, managing schedules and costs, and solving problems as they arise. Key Responsibilities Manage projects from kickoff through fabrication, installation, and closeout Review RFQ's, drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents/project requirements Coordinate material purchasing, detailing, production, delivery, and installation Communicate regularly with customers, contractors, vendors, and internal team members Track project budgets, change orders, schedules, and profitability Identify potential issues early and develop practical solutions Attend project meetings and visit jobsites as needed Prepare estimates and proposals for new and existing customers Ensure project information is complete and clearly communicated to the shop and field teams Support a smooth handoff between estimating, project management, fabrication, and installation What We're Looking For Project-management experience in metal fabrication, structural steel, construction, manufacturing, or a related field Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, and specifications Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Confidence managing multiple active projects and shifting priorities Ability to build strong relationships with customers and coworkers Experience with estimating, job costing, scheduling, or change-order management is preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, communicating with different groups, and seeing a custom project progress from an idea to a finished installation.
