Job Description
Minimum Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with demonstrated expertise in commercial or retail construction projects.Technical Skills:
Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and working with CAD drawings or similar design and project management software.Project Management:
Proven ability to manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, including scheduling, budgeting, contractor coordination, and quality control.Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with contractors, subcontractors, internal teams, and executive leadership.Problem-Solving:
Demonstrated ability to anticipate issues, identify solutions, and make sound decisions under tight deadlines.Team Collaboration:
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build productive relationships with diverse stakeholders.Safety Focus:
Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.Schedule Flexibility:
Ability to work extended hours during peak business periods, including fireworks seasons and the July 4th holiday period, as business and project needs require. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with fire suppression systems and related building code requirements, particularly as they apply to retail facilities handling consumer fireworks and novelties. Experience with ground-up retail construction and tenant improvement projects. Knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and regulatory compliance in multiple jurisdictions. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Travel Requirements This position requires travel based on the location of active construction projects. Travel frequency and duration will vary depending on project timelines and site needs. Physical and Work Environment This position requires the individual to stand and walk for extended periods and to perform physical activities such as bending, crouching, and lifting on a repeated basis in order to complete required job tasks. The individual must be able to work in varying weather conditions based on the geographic location and requirements of the project and must follow all applicable safety procedures for each work environment. This position requires the ability to work both in the field and in an office setting. Because the position may require work in a construction environment, the individual must maintain situational and environmental awareness and have the ability to tolerate varying levels of noise and activity associated with the worksite. Reporting Structure This position reports to the Executive Team.Compensation and Benefits:
Salary:
$70,000-$130,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.Benefits include:
