About Phantom Fireworks Phantom Fireworks is a leading retailer of consumer-grade fireworks and novelties throughout the United States. As a growing company, we are expanding our retail footprint and seeking experienced construction professionals to join our Development Team. Position Overview The Construction Project Manager will lead the planning and execution of new store construction and remodeling projects for Phantom Fireworks. This role is critical to supporting the company's growth strategy and requires a construction professional with extensive experience managing ground-up construction and retail remodeling projects. The position demands strong technical skills, the ability to work under tight schedules, and effective collaboration with contractors, subcontractors, and executive leadership. Because Phantom Fireworks' business is highly seasonal, this position also requires flexibility and availability to work extended hours during peak fireworks seasons, including the period leading up to and around July 4th, as project schedules, store openings, inspections, operational needs, and business priorities may require. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all phases, both on and off site, of new store construction, remodeling and large maintenance projects. Review, interpret, and work with CAD drawings and similar design software to ensure accuracy and constructability. Coordinate and manage relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and other third-party service providers. Track project progress against established schedules and budgets; proactively identify and resolve issues to prevent delays and cost overruns. Ensure cost-effective approaches to construction through value engineering, competitive bidding, and efficient resource allocation. Emphasize safety and quality throughout all construction activities; conduct site inspections and enforce compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and company standards. Collaborate with internal teams, including real estate, operations, and executive leadership, to align project goals with business objectives. Provide regular status reports to executives on project timelines, budgets, risks, and milestones. Anticipate potential construction issues and implement proactive solutions to maintain project momentum. Work effectively as part of a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality retail facilities on time and within budget. Collaborate with individuals responsible for locating potential retail property locations. Travel to project sites as required based on the location and phase of construction. Work extended hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, when necessary during peak fireworks seasons and other critical project periods.

Minimum Qualifications Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with demonstrated expertise in commercial or retail construction projects.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and working with CAD drawings or similar design and project management software.

Project Management:

Proven ability to manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, including scheduling, budgeting, contractor coordination, and quality control.

Communication:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with contractors, subcontractors, internal teams, and executive leadership.

Problem-Solving:

Demonstrated ability to anticipate issues, identify solutions, and make sound decisions under tight deadlines.

Team Collaboration:

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build productive relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Safety Focus:

Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Schedule Flexibility:

Ability to work extended hours during peak business periods, including fireworks seasons and the July 4th holiday period, as business and project needs require. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with fire suppression systems and related building code requirements, particularly as they apply to retail facilities handling consumer fireworks and novelties. Experience with ground-up retail construction and tenant improvement projects. Knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and regulatory compliance in multiple jurisdictions. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Travel Requirements This position requires travel based on the location of active construction projects. Travel frequency and duration will vary depending on project timelines and site needs. Physical and Work Environment This position requires the individual to stand and walk for extended periods and to perform physical activities such as bending, crouching, and lifting on a repeated basis in order to complete required job tasks. The individual must be able to work in varying weather conditions based on the geographic location and requirements of the project and must follow all applicable safety procedures for each work environment. This position requires the ability to work both in the field and in an office setting. Because the position may require work in a construction environment, the individual must maintain situational and environmental awareness and have the ability to tolerate varying levels of noise and activity associated with the worksite. Reporting Structure This position reports to the Executive Team.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary:

$70,000-$130,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
