Pence Companies is looking for an experienced Project Manager who can effectively deliver successful projects while working alongside talented superintendents, project teams, trade partners, architects and owners. As a Project Manager, you'll lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, with responsibility for financial performance, schedule, client relationships, and team leadership. In partnership with the superintendent, you'll help deliver safe, high-quality projects and successful outcomes for our clients. What You'll Do Lead project performance, including budget, forecasting, schedule, risk, and profitability. Build strong relationships with clients, design partners, subcontractors, and project teams. Manage procurement, contracts, change management, and essential project documentation. Partner with estimating and field teams from preconstruction and GMP development through construction and closeout. Mentor and develop project team members while working within a collaborative, accountable culture. What You Bring We're looking for a construction professional who can lead people, solve problems, communicate clearly, and take ownership of project outcomes.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering Management or a related field, or equivalent construction experience. At least six years of commercial construction management experience and demonstrated experience leading project teams. Strong knowledge of critical path scheduling, construction documents, plans, specifications, and scopes of work. Experience with construction management software and project financial controls. Strong communication, leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 10 certification, or ability to obtain them within six months of hire. This is a hands-on leadership role primarily based on active construction sites throughout Oregon and SW Washington, working closely with field teams, clients, design partners, and subcontractors.
