Development & Construction Project Coordinator
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and track development projects from acquisition through construction completion, coordinating internally with Kay teams and externally with partners and consultants
- Coordinate with civil engineers, architects, surveyors, traffic engineers, consultants, and attorneys
- Track zoning approvals, variances, permits, and land development approvals; prepare permit submissions and manage resubmissions
- Prepare escrow release requests and track escrow draws and balances with municipalities and agencies
- Organize and maintain project documentation, including plans, contracts, permits, and approvals
- Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and punch lists; assist with processing AIA forms (G701, G702/G703)
- Monitor consultant invoices, construction budgets, and assist with draw requests
- Serve as liaison between ownership, the design team, contractors, and municipal agencies; prepare status reports and maintain action item logs
Qualifications:
- Experience with Bluebeam and Excel
- Experience with Procore
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software
- Knowledge of the land development, zoning, and permitting process
- Understanding of commercial construction, AIA documents, change orders, and pay applications
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and persistent follow-up
- Strong written communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously This position is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional looking to play a key role in Kay Builders' development and construction process.
