$140,000 - $170,000 per year Job Details - We are seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to join our design-build construction firm specializing in industrial and warehouse projects. The ideal candidate will lead our preconstruction efforts, ensuring seamless project planning and execution from concept to construction.
Responsibilities:
Develop detailed project budgets, schedules, and cost estimates for industrial and warehouse construction projects Conduct site visits to assess project feasibility and identify potential challenges Create conceptual, schematic, and design development estimates to support preconstruction activities Work closely with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to ensure design efficiency and constructability Review plans for consistency, accuracy, and adherence to industrial and warehouse construction standards Participate in value engineering exercises to optimize project design and costs Prepare and distribute comprehensive bid packages to subcontractors and suppliers Evaluate and analyze bids from subcontractors and vendors Negotiate contracts and subcontracts with suppliers and contractors Provide oversight and mentorship to the preconstruction team Coordinate with Business Development, Estimating, and Operations teams on project approach and deliverables Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and project management Identify and mitigate potential project risks specific to industrial and warehouse construction Monitor design scope for changes affecting budget and/or schedule
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field 7+ years of experience in preconstruction, with a focus on industrial and warehouse projects Proficiency in estimating software, CAD, and project management tools Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes for industrial facilities Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Experience with design-build project delivery methods A bit about us: - We are a GC with 60 years of experience in the construction industry.
