Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking a Traveling Construction Superintendent with strong hands-on construction experience to lead projects in the field. This role is responsible for overseeing all on-site operations, managing schedules, and ensuring our high standards are executed from start to finish. This position requires consistent weekly travel , with time spent on-site at project locations. Key Responsibilities Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through completion Travel weekly to project sites and manage day-to-day jobsite operations Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams Maintain project schedules and proactively address challenges Ensure all work meets B&D's quality standards and specifications Conduct site meetings and provide regular updates to the team Enforce safety standards and maintain organized jobsites Review drawings and anticipate potential issues Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable) Extensive hands-on construction experience (field background required) (Carpenter, framer, foreman, lead carpenter, etc.) Willingness and ability to travel weekly and stay near job sites as needed Proven ability to lead a jobsite and manage subcontractors Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and materials Ability to read and interpret construction drawings Strong communication and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications 5+ years in a superintendent or field leadership role Experience with high-end residential, timber frame, or specialty construction Familiarity with equestrian or agricultural facilities Experience managing traveling or remote projects Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore) Travel & Perks Nightly out-of-town bonus provided when traveling Food stipend / per diem during travel Travel accommodations arranged or reimbursed Company vehicle
