SITE SUPERVISOR FOR EARTHWORKS
Reports to: Project Manager.
Directs:
Surveyor, Foreman, Heavy Equipment Operator, and Laborers.
Position Deliverables:
Successful completion of assigned tasks—including site preparation, vertical grading, foundation subbases, subfloor bases, road and parking surface construction, and site landscaping in strict accordance with the project timeline and within the approved budget. Ensuring the team's full compliance with safety protocols, occupational health requirements, and established production standards. Successful completion of the construction project delivering a completed product of superior quality. Quality criteria for the completed product: Operations completed within the designated schedule. Works executed within the approved budgetary constraints. Maintenance of a high standard of construction practices and occupational health and safety compliance. Quality meets the company's internal standards (verified by the internal acceptance report). The facility has been successfully commissioned and handed over. The handover and acceptance certificate with the client has been signed, with all identified issues fully resolved. Execution of works in strict accordance with the approved master schedule, ensuring the achievement of planned project milestones.
Functions:
Ensuring compliance with established safety standards, occupational health regulations, and maintaining site cleanliness and order throughout all phases of construction.
Organizing site operations:
in collaboration with the Project Manager (PM) for earthworks, developing detailed work plans and schedules for the execution of earthworks. Defining the sequence of operations; preparing equipment requisitions to meet the required volume Coordinates requisitions with the Project Manager. Assignment of tasks to company-owned equipment and personnel, with strict supervision over the execution of the assigned duties. Organization and oversight of plate bearing tests in strict accordance with established standards and regulations. Coordination and validation of test results with the Project Manager. Monitors compliance with the master schedule as well as the achievement of daily production targets. Ensures strict adherence to the scheduled milestones. Management of resources on a daily basis, including the organization of site provisioning with necessary material, technical, and labor resources; optimization of resource allocation; and monitoring and recording of equipment performance. Ensuring schedule compliance and adherence to technological standards, enforcing safety and occupational health and safety regulations on site, and maintaining cleanliness and order within work areas. Managing as-built and reporting documentation, preparing acceptance certificates, and compiling daily construction progress reports. Coordinating material reception and maintaining records of primary accounting documentation.
Responsibilities:
The Earthworks Site Supervisor holds responsibility for: Ensuring that personnel on site strictly observe safety regulations. Effective operation and supervision of machinery and equipment. Maintenance and safeguarding of machinery and material resources. Ensuring the quality of all executed works. Strict adherence to the construction schedule.
Requirements:
A higher technical education is mandatory for the position of site supervisor. A minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in the construction industry is required, including no less than 1 year of supervisory experience in earthworks.
Pay:
$80,000.00
