Job Description
Commercial Site Superintendent II (Commercial Construction) Hazley Commercial Construction is a relationship-driven commercial construction firm based in West Chester, PA . We specialize in complex, high-quality commercial projects and are seeking a Commercial Site Superintendent II to lead field operations from mobilization through project completion. This role is for a highly experienced field leader who understands commercial construction at a senior level, including project sequencing, site logistics, subcontractor coordination, and team leadership. This is a hands-on field leadership role, not an office-based position. The Opportunity We are hiring a Commercial Site Superintendent II with 7-15 years of commercial construction experience . You will be responsible for leading field operations on assigned commercial projects, including schedule control, subcontractor performance, field productivity, quality, and day-to-day site coordination. You will work closely with the Project Manager while serving as the primary field leader for your assigned projects, ensuring work progresses safely, efficiently, and according to project plans and Hazley standards. Key Responsibilities Direct and coordinate daily field operations from mobilization through project completion Maintain and update project schedules and construction sequencing in coordination with the Project Manager Lead field coordination meetings with subcontractors and trade partners Coordinate subcontractor manpower and sequencing to maintain project milestones Identify and resolve schedule conflicts before they impact production Work closely with the Project Manager to keep projects on schedule and within scope Identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, and field issues during construction Proactively address field challenges and coordinate solutions with the project team Enforce Hazley quality standards across all trades Conduct inspections during critical phases of construction Serve as the primary onsite contact for clients and building representatives Provide professional communication regarding site activities, scheduling, and project progress Maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal teams Mentor junior superintendents, carpenters, and other field personnel Help develop field best practices and improve project workflows Maintain a safe, organized, and professional job site Required Qualifications 7-15 years of commercial construction experience Proven experience managing full project field operations Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and scheduling Demonstrated ability to coordinate subcontractors and maintain project milestones Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with construction management software OSHA 30 certification preferred High School Diploma or GED required; additional construction management education or training preferred Valid driver's license and state-required insurance Physical & Job Requirements Frequent standing, walking, and sitting on active job sites Frequent lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs Occasional lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs Ability to work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow Ability to work on ladders and roofs up to 50 feet Ability to travel to commercial job sites as needed Ability to work at a computer or desk area when required Who This Role Is For Experienced commercial Site Superintendents ready to take ownership of full project field operations Field leaders comfortable managing subcontractors, schedules, sequencing, and site productivity Professionals who can anticipate issues and solve problems before they impact the project Individuals who thrive in a structured, process-driven environment Leaders who value accountability, communication, quality, and execution Why Hazley Commercial Construction Growing commercial construction division with strong leadership Opportunity to lead meaningful, high-quality commercial projects Collaborative relationship between Project Management and Field Operations Clear structure, processes, and expectations Opportunity to grow into senior field leadership Competitive compensation and benefits Salary based on experience.
