This position is responsible for evaluating bid opportunities, preparing accurate estimates, developing project proposals, supporting business development efforts, and ensuring a seamless transition from preconstruction to operations. Key Responsibilities Review bidding opportunities and assist with go/no-go decisions. Analyze drawings, specifications, addenda, and project documents. Prepare quantity takeoffs and estimates for drywall, metal stud framing, insulation, acoustical ceilings, finish carpentry, doors, frames, hardware, and related scopes. Develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing. Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations. Identify scope gaps, conflicts, risks, and cost exposures. Prepare detailed proposals including scope, pricing, alternates, clarifications, assumptions, and exclusions. Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, scope reviews, and post-bid interviews. Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, construction managers, owners, architects, and vendors. Lead project turnover meetings and communicate estimate assumptions, labor budgets, material quantities, and project risks to operations teams. Track bid results, maintain historical estimating data, and continuously improve estimating processes and production rates. Qualifications 3+ years of estimating, preconstruction, project management, or related commercial construction experience. Strong knowledge of drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, insulation, finish carpentry, doors, frames, hardware, and related interior systems. Proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and estimating/takeoff software. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously. Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Internet and phone access for communication and remote work responsibilities. Ability to visit construction sites and navigate active jobsite environments. Ability to work Monday through Friday, with occasional additional hours as needed. Why NCC?
