The Foreman will be responsible for coordinating site activities, supervising crews, and ensuring that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project plans, schedules, and quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive knowledge of civil construction processes, including excavation, grading, utilities installation, and roadwork.
COMPANY PAID TRAVEL WITHIN THE SOUTHEASTERN US IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION.
Key Responsibilities o Lead, direct, and supervise on-site construction crews. o Ensure team members understand project goals, timelines, and safety standards. o Interpret and implement construction plans, blueprints, and specifications. o Manage excavation, grading, storm water management, utility installation, paving, and other civil site work. o Monitor and adjust workflows to meet deadlines and project milestones. o Enforce safety regulations and ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety policies. o Coordinate equipment operation and maintenance to ensure efficient site operations. o Inspect work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards. o Resolve on-site issues, including technical challenges and conflicts. o Ensure proper documentation and reporting of daily activities and progress.
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in civil/underground equipment operation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role. o Strong knowledge of civil site work processes, including grading, excavation, utility installation, and paving. o Excellent communication and leadership skills.
