Rack Repair Assistant Production Manager Pay Range:
$25-$28 per hour Position Summary PackIQ is seeking a highly organized, motivated, and detail-oriented Rack Repair Assistant Production Manager to support the day-to-day management of rack repair, production scheduling, materials, logistics, and administrative operations. This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced steel fabrication professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and develop their leadership and production management skills. The successful candidate will work closely with the Site Manager and production team and will be trained and developed with the goal of advancing into the Site Manager position within approximately 2-3 years. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage ongoing work and production schedules. Track order status, production constraints, and customer due dates. Monitor inbound supplies, materials, and dunnage deliveries to ensure items remain properly identified, tracked, and locatable. Coordinate inbound and outbound freight. Complete operational and administrative reports accurately and on time. Prepare billing documentation and coordinate discrepancies with Accounting. Develop and improve Excel spreadsheets, tracking tools, written procedures, and follow-up systems. Assist with day-to-day production management and coordination. Support rack repair operations and ensure work is progressing according to schedule and quality expectations. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement practical solutions. Work closely with production employees, management, customers, suppliers, and transportation providers. Assist the Site Manager with overall site operations and other duties as needed. Qualifications & Skills 3+ years of steel fabrication experience, including welding. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Highly skilled with Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets, with the ability to develop and improve tracking tools. Creative, resourceful, and comfortable developing new systems and processes. Demonstrates initiative and actively looks for ways to improve efficiency and operations. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Excellent attention to detail and follow-through. Experience with project management, production scheduling, or managing work schedules is a plus. Associate degree preferred, but candidates with additional relevant industry experience, including supervisory experience, will be considered. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability and willingness to learn all aspects of production and site management.
Pay:
$25.20 - $28.00 per hour
