Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grading Foreman . This pivotal role involves managing grading crews, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of construction management practices, technical drawing interpretation, and safety protocols, contributing to the successful execution of large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects. The Grading Foreman position offers an opportunity to lead teams effectively while maintaining strict compliance with industry standards and project timelines. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and compactors to assist in the installation and maintenance of water, sewer, and storm drain systems. Safely and efficiently maneuver equipment in confined spaces, around existing structures, and in proximity to other workers. Interpret construction plans and specifications to determine the appropriate equipment and techniques for each project. Oversee and manage construction projects through all phases of completion. Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, crews, and material deliveries. Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, codes, and safety regulations. Monitor progress and quality of work, adjusting as needed. Interpreting and reviewing blueprints, schematics, and construction documents. Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and stakeholders. Maintain accurate project records, including daily reports and documentation. Provide leadership, training, and support to team members on construction techniques and safety. Requirements Strong knowledge of construction management practices and principles. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents. 5 years of proven leadership and supervisory experience in a similar role. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Solid understanding of OSHA standards and safety protocols. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Driver's license and clean driving record. MUST be able to pass a background check. MUST be able to pass a drug test.
