Commerical Construction Superintendent
Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Superintendent for a project located in Cookeville, TN to oversee daily operations, coordinate subcontractors, and enforce safety standards. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and benefits package. Responsibilities Treat the project as if it is your own property and lead day-to-day field operations from mobilization through completion. Review project plans, specifications, submittals and construction documents. Coordinate daily and weekly activities to maintain project progress. Conduct and participate in subcontractor coordination meetings. Coordinate material deliveries, site logistics and sequencing. Monitor subcontractor manpower, productivity and performance. Monitor the jobsite for compliance with OSHA requirements and DCI safety policies. Coordinate punch-list activities and project closeout. Maintain accurate daily reports, photographs, schedules and project documentation using Procore. Communicate effectively with the Project Manager regarding project progress, manpower, scheduling, quality, safety and potential issues. Maintain professional working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors and vendors.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate is an experienced construction professional who is confident leading a commercial construction project and understands successful project execution. We are looking for someone who: Treats the project as if it is their own property and accepts the responsibility required for its successful completion. Can effectively coordinate and hold subcontractors accountable for their work. Has strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Takes safety seriously and leads by example. Is comfortable using technology as part of daily construction management.Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a commercial construction project site leadership or superintendent role. Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple trades. Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong understanding of construction scheduling, sequencing and project coordination. OSHA training is required. Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
