Job Description

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced CSA Construction Manager to support the Construction Team on a large-scale industrial construction project in Austin, TX. This role is responsible for managing construction activities across Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) scopes, depending on area of responsibility. The Construction Manager will oversee subcontractors, coordinate with engineering and project leadership, and ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing complex industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, automotive, battery, data center, or other mission-critical construction projects . Responsibilities Manage assigned CSA and/or MEP construction activities throughout the project lifecycle. Oversee construction activities including site development, foundations, concrete, structural steel, architectural scopes, mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and associated infrastructure. Coordinate daily activities between subcontractors, superintendents, engineers, MEP teams, commissioning teams, and project leadership. Develop and execute construction schedules, manpower plans, and installation sequencing to achieve project milestones. Monitor productivity, budgets, schedule performance, and contractor progress while identifying and mitigating project risks. Review construction drawings, specifications, BIM models, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings for constructability and quality. Ensure all work complies with project specifications, OSHA regulations, applicable building codes, and quality standards. Lead daily field walks, coordination meetings, safety observations, and progress reviews. Coordinate material deliveries, equipment logistics, and procurement activities to support field operations. Resolve field conflicts and collaborate with engineering teams to implement design changes and constructability solutions. Coordinate interfaces between CSA and MEP disciplines to prevent schedule conflicts and ensure proper sequencing. Oversee inspections, punch list completion, project closeout, and turnover to commissioning and operations teams. Track project costs, labor productivity, schedule updates, and change orders. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement across all project teams. Required Qualifications 8+ years of construction management experience on large commercial, industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, automotive, battery, data center, or mission-critical projects. CSA OR MEP
construction scopes . Strong knowledge of one or more of the following: Site development and earthwork Underground utilities Concrete foundations and slabs Structural steel erection Precast and tilt-wall construction Building envelope systems Roofing systems Interior architectural finishes Mechanical systems Electrical systems Plumbing and piping systems Experience managing multiple subcontractors and coordinating large field teams. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, BIM/Revit models, and shop drawings. Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, inspections, and project closeout. Strong understanding of construction scheduling, sequencing, and critical path planning. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar construction management software. OSHA 30 Certification required. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Experience on Gigafactory, semiconductor, battery manufacturing, automotive manufacturing, pharmaceutical, mission-critical, or large industrial construction projects. Experience with fast-track construction and self-perform contractors. Familiarity with Lean Construction principles. Experience coordinating CSA, MEP, and commissioning teams through project turnover. $70.00 - $85.00 per hour
